Best Ways to Lose Belly Fat

lose belly fatIt is important to acknowledge that belly fat can be the most stubborn form of excess fat to lose. Men and women alike struggle with this common problem area and the only real way to eliminate this excess fat is through full body workouts that consist of cardio and strength training. If you can manage to burn excess fat throughout your entire body you will begin to see the fat disappear from your belly, allowing you to develop those toned abs everyone yearns for.

Let’s start with developing a workout routine. You may be thinking right now that you are not a big fan of cardio workouts but have you considered more than just the treadmill or stationary bike? There is a lot more to cardio than these traditional options and the more creative you are the more likely you are to stick to your program. Experiment with several different cardio workouts such as:

 

  • Jogging
  • Walking
  • Running
  • Biking
  • Rollerblading
  • Kayaking
  • Swimming
  • Circuit training
  • Sports (tennis, basketball, football, badminton, etc)

 

The great thing about cardio training is you are not forced to choose only one of the cardio options listed above, alternate your choices on a weekly basis to keep things fresh.

Strength training is a major component that is often overlooked when people are focussed on losing weight in a specific area instead of the entire body as a whole. Strength training can include lifting weights in repetitions, using your body as weight through traditional push-ups and of course a combination of the two. Equipment such as medicine balls, free weights, ankle weights and resistance bands can be used for this aspect of your strength training program.

Once you have made the decision as to what program you are going to move ahead with creating a schedule is the key. You will want to try and work out at least 3 times a week but no more than 6 times a week because your body does require a day of rest. Just keep your goal in mind, a slim and flat tummy, and you will have no problems keeping to your schedule.

Aside from your workout, we can’t neglect your diet. Sugary beverages, overly processed foods, trans fats and greasy foods should instantly be eliminated and replaced with healthy snacks and water. Also many men and women today are leaning towards appetite suppressants with the ability to help boost your body’s fat burning abilities with some fat burner supplements to help reduce the amount of food you in take and increase the amount of calories burned, an epic combination!
